With Kalmar now only around 12 weeks away, this is often the point where training starts to feel very real.
- The weather improves.
- Open water swimming begins.
- Long sessions get longer.
- First races are coming or under the belt
- Race pace starts creeping in.
And for many athletes, this is where things can either come together… or start becoming chaotic.
A lot of athletes train hard.
But the final 10–12 weeks are usually not about adding more volume or trying random “race prep” sessions from social media.
It’s about:
- structuring the workload correctly
- managing fatigue
- building confidence in race pace
- practicing fueling
- balancing swim, bike and run stress
- arriving healthy and fresh on the start line
That’s the focus of my coaching and programs.
My approach is built around long-term aerobic development, smart structure, and sustainable progression — not just accumulating hard sessions.
Whether you are aiming to:
- finish confidently
- improve your PB
- qualify for Kona / Worlds
- or simply avoid blowing up late in the race
having the right structure during the final 12 weeks matters a lot.
I currently have 4 spots remaining for personal coaching leading into Kalmar.
I also offer personalized training programs for athletes who want a structured plan but prefer to train more independently. Of course I have beginner programs and a few coaching spots for newbies who are going to test their first sprint or mini tri.
If you’re interested, send me a message and we can discuss your goals, experience level, and what setup fits you best.
